Homework Help provides an encouraging atmosphere for students to come and do their homework. For some, that is all they need and they look forward to this time each week. Some students do well with their homework and will only come when they have a big project that they desperately need help with (these usually arrive the day before the project is due, or sometimes later). When it is time for a project, the students may come looking for ideas and direction, or they may be in need of basic supplies to make it. Other students are struggling daily in school and need one-on-one help to work through their assignments help them develop basic skills.
Homework Help is generally held once a week, on a school day, in the afternoon or evening. |

Tips for a successful Homework Help:
· Pray! (for your students and wisdom in teaching them)
· Homework Help is NOT play time. Be firm. Chaos does not help studying!
· Provide worksheets, flash cards and books for students who may not have homework, but are willing to study.
· Keep extra school supplies on hand for students who run out of notebook paper, pencils, etc in the middle of the year. |

Homework Help is yet another way to meet practical needs in a community.
Some students who would never be allowed to attend a Bible Study are encouraged, or even instructed, to attend Homework Help.
Make the most of this opportunity to share the love of Jesus in your actions and your words.
